My first photoshoot

A few weeks ago I did a photo shoot in association with Bella Kinks and J. Black Productions called "Girls Rocking Natural".  It was a lot of fun (plus my sister and I shared some laughs that day)! So, I just received the pics and I am in LOVE!!!!!!! So here are some of my favorite shots that J. Black edited for me. He did an awesome job! Click on his link above if you are in the DFW area. Straight hair for Christmas

Since I am off work for Christmas break, I decided to straighten my hair and clip my ends.

That was the result! It has really grown since I straightened in September:

I also wanted it to look nice and curly, so I experimented with pin curls. I really liked the results:

Overall, I liked wearing my hair straight for a second, but I'm back to curls ( overnight dc'ing as we speak)!

I straightened my hair today, so I could clip my ends and I must say that I like the curls so much better!!! My hair has grown a lot in 15 months considering I bc'd with less than an inch of hair!

I also could not do this often: it was hot, and a seriously tedious process! I do not have that kind of time anymore!!
Well, I'm out!

Protective style updo

My family is going on a vacation on Monday, so I decided put my hair up so I don't have to mess with while we r out of town.

The style was inspired by msvcharles on YouTube.

She walks you through step by step of how to achieve this style.

Another blowout

I know I have MIA, but as an educator, I max and relax in the summer!!
Anyway, I have been rockin wash and go's and my hair desperately needed to be washed and detangled.
I then decided to blow it out and was surprised at the amour of growth I have.

So I have only blown my hair out 3 times...

I am really excited that I am retaining length!!
I didn't have time to twist my hair for a dry twistout because we have dinner plans....so I just did 2 flat twists with a bun in the back!

4th of July Weekend 'do

I got my hair braided today and I love it!!

I'm gonna undo the twists in the front for a twistout this weekend! Well, back to cooking!!! Pics of my meal una momento...

Flexirod set

So, for Easter I decided to do something different! I went and bought some flexirods; washed, dc'd, and detangled my hair and rolled it like so:

I sat under the dryer on medium heat for about an hour and left them in overnight. In the morning I took them out for church and got this:

Now a couple days later I separated the curls for a super curly fro

MAN!!!! I love my hair's versatility! This will be washed out tomorrow when I get highlights!
